Follow these simple steps for creating your own personal daily affirmations: Step 1: Think about what you want to accomplish. Affirmations tend to fall into four main categories: Changing Habits — this could be changing bad habits or developing new ones. Situation Focused — this focuses on something specific and could include anything from school, to jobs, or even relationships.
Attitude Improvement—these focus on helping you improve an aspect of your personal attitude, such as improving self-esteem, kindness, or compassion. Step 2: Prioritize These Goals Once you identify the areas you want to change, you can begin to prioritize which affirmations you should write.
While there is no limit on the amount of affirmations you can say every day, it might be a good idea to focus on the ones that are most important to you. By focusing your affirmations to follow your personal priorities, you are allowing your mind to more closely focus on the things that matter. Step 3: Write your Personalized Affirmation Once you have identified your priorities, it is time to begin writing your affirmations. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when writing you affirmations: DO use the present tense.
DO keep the positive. DO NOT focus on how your goals will be accomplished, only focus on the final outcome. If you believe it, you will find a way to make it happen. Step 4: Recite Daily Once you have created your personal affirmations, it is important to recite them on a daily basis. Every day pause for a few moments to recite your affirmations. Make sure you are in a quiet place where you can completely focus on what you are saying. Once you begin reciting your affirmations, you will be amazed by the results.
